Our accessible game viewers are equipped with slide-out transfer seats, enabling guests of all mobility levels to explore the African wilderness in comfort.

Accessible Safari Vehicles
Explore the wonders of the bush in our wheelchair-accessible game viewers, along with a dedicated guide and tracker. Search for South Africa’s Big 5, cheetahs, wild dogs, and a variety of bird species.
With full ramp access, our vehicles are fitted with sliding bucket seats with footrests and safety straps to comfortably cater for guests who use wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

Ximuwu is a bucket-list destination for birders around the world, with or without mobility limitations. Our wheelchair-friendly safari vehicles and photographic hides are perfect for observing bird life.
As Klaserie sits right next to the famous Kruger National Park, birds fly freely between the two parks. Over 350 to 500 bird species live in the Klaserie, including the lilac-breasted roller, bateleur eagle, Verreaux’s eagle-owl, the southern ground hornbill, numerous vultures, and more.
Sound Safaris

Ximuwu’s sound safaris offer a unique way to enjoy the bush. We use directional microphones and amplifiers to place you inside what you’d normally only hear in the background.
This incredible sensory experience can be especially wonderful for guests who have limited sight or hearing ability.
Accessible Photo Hides
Get The Perfect Snapshot
Unlike many photographic hides around the world, ours are built to be accessible by wheelchair. Located near our watering holes, our two hides are well-lit, fully equipped, and perfectly positioned for watching and photographing elephants, wild dogs, bird species, and more.
Game drives can also be built around your photographic goals. Ask your rangers for assistance in looking for any “bucket list” animals. Camera and lens rental is available; ask when booking.
Night Safaris
Starlight Exploration
Watch the sunset dissolve into a starry wonder at Ximuwu. Our night drives use Pulsar thermal vision binoculars — technology that reveals the heat signature of wildlife in complete darkness, without the intrusion of artificial light.
Grab the night-vision goggles and depart after dinner with your guide. The experience is unlike any conventional drive — quieter, less disruptive, and significantly more revealing.
